Digital Tech and Math #cserTask3
Students have used Scratch Jr for a Term and are familiar with how to program simple events.
Collect, explore and sort data, and use digital systems to present the data creatively (ACTDIP003)
Lesson 1 – Exploring numbers 1 to 10
Children will draw a sprite relating to the number on different pages in ScratchJr. e.g 1 cat, 2 dogs
Lesson 2 – Programming objects
Children will now use the programming blocks to move their sprite according to their corresponding number. They will have a flag and an end block connector on each page
e.g move forward 1 for 1 cat
Lesson 3 – Using sound
Children will add a front page and record themselves counting to 10. They will then add sound to each page which says the number on it.

Sort and classify familiar objects and explain the basis for these classifications.

Connect number names, numerals and quantiles. including zero, initially up to 10 and then beyond.
