Karen Butler▸ U2: Algorithms & Programming

Visual Programming

I was thinking you could create board games and use dice to explore the command tools in scratch. I made one in photo shop. Students could create their own and make board games to go with them. This would support learning the language of programming in an unplugged way. I downloaded the scratch blocks as png files from the MIT website. They could be printed off and used with students to create offline and unplugged games.

What do you think?

What year level – I was thinking middle to upper primary?
