Lesson Plan For Integrating Digital Technologies and English (year 6 level)

The two content descriptors that I am combining are:

1) Understand how authors often innovate on text structures and play with language features to achieve particular aesthetic, humorous and persuasive purposes and effects (ACELA1518)

2) Design, modify and follow simple algorithms involving sequences of steps, branching, and iteration (repetition) (ACTDIP019)

Students are to find a humorous conversation between two people from scanning through comics. Students are then to program scratch sprites to act out the conversation in the comic and explain the effects the author has used to create the humor.
