For upper primary, you can use Scratch to create an interactive spelling quiz, using words that follow the rules or concepts that they have been studying. They would work in pairs. A basic example of what they could create is https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/13589755/ I'm sure it can be extended further, but not sure how.
Another idea is to create a story using the idea of a "wrong" fairytale. Start by reading "Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs" or "Ninja Red Riding Hood" or something similar and then go from there. Working in pairs, they can Storyboard it, and then create using Scratch or PowToon or iBooks. Maybe even share it with younger years when finished.
I also created a lesson plan for a Spelling Bee-Bot activity in the previous course which you can see here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+MichelleChomiak/posts/JS4TU7wBrhj
