Marc Noakes▸ U2: Algorithms & Programming
In my STEM clubs, I ask students in year 4 to year 6 to use a BeeBot with a mat to tell a story. Working collaboratively in groups of 3 to 4, students design their story by investigating how to manouvre the BeeBot around the mat. They write a non-fiction narrative where each line of the story coresponds to a line of code in the BeeBot program. I've just started to do a similar thing with Ozobots. I also think that the Osmo is another great introduction to coding, particularly for infants students, and is so effective because it incorporates a narrative.
