I found this great little site (I have 3 boys!). It has digital comics available to read and also has a place to make your own comic. The site also has a section all about the various characters and many related activities.

I think this site would work well as a way to engage a child to write a narrative in the style of a comic.

(As a side note- I think that it would be very useful to use d tech to engage esl students)
