For my year 2/3 class, I would integrate the turtle model to get the students to create 2D shapes and using simple algorithms. We haven't used algorithms before so I would do some prior knowledge work with the students to help them understand the basics.
I would use bee bots and simple display cards first to demonstrate how an algorithm works and then get students to demonstrate their algorithm in partners. They could then program the robots and share it to their peers. #csertask3
