My Year 2 class have been exploring the various components of fairytale writing. We integrated the use of BeeBots and simple coding, with the process of retelling a familiar fairytale in sequential order.
The students, as a class, were read the story of the 'Three Little Pigs'. The students were then asked to use the BeeBots to move around a large cardboard 'code board' sequentially from house to house (using pre-taught coding strategies), as they retold the story to their partner.
The outcome of this task was for the students to sequentially retell a familiar story and to use their prior knowledge of coding. Students were encouraged to use minimal and the most effective coding throughout the task. #CserTask2
