Kim Johnston▸ U4: Math Connections

#cserTask3
In prep, once the students are confidently programming the Bee-Bot, introduce the Shape, Colour and Size Mat with the following three activities to extend their learning experiences. To complete these activities students must differentiate Shape (square, circle, triangle or rectangle), Colour (yellow, red, blue or green), and Size (small or large).
Learning Focus
The Bee-Bot reinforces: programming, control and direction– forward, back, right, left, pause; problem solving, exploration and prediction and sequence and order.

• Start on the blue square and go to the red circle
• Start on the yellow triangle and go to the green triangle
• Start on the red square and go to the blue circle
Activity Two
Try to do this activity in as few moves as possible
• Start on the yellow circle and visit the other circles
• Start on the red square and visit all the other squares
• Start on the green rectangle and visit all the other rectangles
