The idea that I had to integrate digital technologies with English was around the use of Scratch or Scratch junior as part of a reading/ comprehension task. Students can use their knowledge of the book to predict what is going to happen next or summarise the actions of characters or create a summary on the text and use Scratch or Scratch junior. Students will be learning coding as well as developing their comprehension skills. This can be done in pairs. I particularly like the idea of having a navigator and driver as part of programming. This will also fit in with a collaborative learning approach.
