My favourite type of book growing up was, "Choose Your Own Adventure". For our younger students (Yr3-4) we use google slides and hyperlinks to create a choose your own adventure book. It take some good planning and recongising how branching works.
Doing the same with the older students (Yr 5-6 ) but instead using scratch to animate it added another level of enjoyment for the children creating it, and then for the reader.
We had some amazing stories

  • Rebecca Vivian: A great project to focus on branching! How did you find the students went with the activity? Do you feel they were able to understand branching better? It would be interesting to see if this activity supports them in transferring knowledge to branching in Visual Programming.
