Natalie Kenny▸ U4: Math Connections
In my Maths class, we play games each Friday that review on the concepts we have covered during that week. Recently, I have been getting the students to create their own games that display their understanding of each concept as we go through. Using a program such as Scratch, the students could create a game or app that they are able to share with their peers. I would probably start with a topic such as Chance and Data and get the students to create digital spinners or something similar to introduce them to this kind of work before moving on to more complex games or concpets.
This would provide great assessment data for both Technologies and Maths, as students are displaying their understanding in both the creation and playing processes.
