Chris Judd▸ U3: English Connections
Each year for the last three, I have had my students make a claymation animation of a story with a moral dilemma. A multimodal story involving a moral dilemma is a requirement of our school's English program. The plots for the stories students have created included situations such as:
"My best friend has got a copy of the answers for the Maths test. She has offered to share them with me, but I declined. But, is that enough? Should I do more — like tell the teacher?"
While there has been plenty of design thinking involved with creation of storyboards, sets and the actual characters, I believe a stronger link with Digital technologies through computational thinking is possible.
This year the story telling could be done using Scratch. This would ensure a seamless integration of the two areas. #cserTask2
