Jo Boaler who is a Professor of Mathematics at Stanford University tells us that using our fingers in maths is very important. See below for the link to an article that explains why.
The following is a quote from this article
"The need for and importance of finger perception could even be the reason that pianists, and other musicians, often display higher mathematical understanding than people who don’t learn a musical instrument."
With that in mind I would use the activity from maths is fun to show students how to use their fingers to represent binary numbers.
