Under measurement and geometry: location and transformation, the unit is for students in Years F-2 to learn practice and apply understanding of concept of locations and maps.
Beginning with using an unplugged activity, such as a hand drawn map of their street/the schools street/the town, students will then go on to Google maps to apply their learning in a simulated VR experience.
Students will then go on to creating a digital map that a partner must be able to follow, such as from the classroom to the gym.
Students will use this knowledge of direction, spatial awareness and scaling to create a maze/map for a beebot to need to pass through and complete. #cserTask3
