Kendall James▸ U4: Math Connections

Future lesson: Year 5 students will use Scratch to demonstrate the solution of a multi-step maths word problem. Students will first use a graphic organizer to create their multi-step word problem will create an animation of their word problem story that shows the solution and shows an understanding of mathematical problem solving strategies. As students plan, execute and debug their programs they will be encouraged to add more complexity and creativity through movement of their Sprite and perhaps use voice recordings or sound to enhance their maths game.
