Abbey Mowbray▸ U2: Algorithms & Programming

Students created a game in Scratch, enhancing the game with the use of Makey Makeys. The students worked in groups of 2 or 3, so that they could work together to solve problems and use the strengths of each group member. These groups were chosen carefully to ensure that there was a confident 'scratcher' in each group. The students learnt a lot from each other.
We also identified common issues and the students who had worked out how to 'debug' these issues ran small clinic groups in the classroom. Students could nominate to attend a clinic group. This helped all, including the student running the group to improve their skills.
