3D modelling in Maths
Using Tinkercad.com let the students explore 3D shapes, addition, subtraction etc. while they create 3D models for 3D printing.
Lesson 1: Introduce Tincercad.com. Start by creating simple shapes, showing how to change measurements along X, Y and Z axis. Show how to ad another shape to the one you have or to subtract by grouping. Set a challenge: Make this shape (e.g. a house with a pitched roof)
Lesson 2: Export your models for 3D printing. Using a 3D printer let the students experience the complete process of 3D modelling.
