I have been using Minecraft Education and the Code Builder feature with year 5’s to explore programming. After each session, students take screen shot images or make screen recordings of the coding that they did and the outcome. They then post this to Seesaw and reflect on whether the programming achieved its purpose and if not, why they thought it went awry. As a class, we also share something new we learned, something we learned from what went well and something we learned from what didn’t quite work. This helps students articulate what they are doing and assists in building a growth mindset/ resilient attitude towards programming.
