A lesson I have thought of was for students to use a program such as Scratch to retell what happened on their prior Saturday. I have reworked this idea from a scaffold on the Digital Technologies Hub that talks about using scratch to retell a popular nursery rhyme. My adaptation of this activity allows the task to become more relatable to the student’s own persona lives and allows a new level of engagement.
This lesson integrates the two subjects of English; using narrative writing and also Digital Technologies; programming their story with Scratch.
