Hi, I'm Steven. I am the Project Officer for WA. I am excited about working with teachers across the state, supporting you with the Digital Technologies curriculum and the CSER MOOC. If I can support you in any way, please get in touch.
Hi all. I fell into digital technologies a few years ago through having a play with some coding in my upper primary class and now find myself as a specialist technology teacher across the whole school. Really looking forward to getting stuck into the Extended MOOC and seeing what others are up to.
I am lucky to be part of a team working at Wilderness School on the Extended course. It is fabulous to be able to learn more about the digital tech curriculum. I currently teach Year One and look forward to experimenting with the knowledge and ideas from this course.
For Task 1, I tried the Blockly Maze. I am a newcomer to coding, but I surprised myself by doing quite well right up till the last maze. I enjoyed the challenges of trying to apply the logical thought processes to solving the problems (I love doing puzzles of all sorts) but found the last maze very frustrating. We are currently rejigging our 7-8 ICDT program at school and having a range of practical activities at different levels is great. Mind you, I think the kids would beat me hands down!!
I am a 60yr old teacher in Queensland who taught himself a bit about electronics and coding as teachers do. I just finished the Blockly exercise and liked the logic of it. I have a site where I share any resources I find at http://www.codekids.com.au on the blog so help yourselves.
I found the Blockly challenge interesting from a user viewpoint. I could see this being used in a classroom as a lead into le…
My name is Sue Carter and I am the CSER Project Officer in the Northern Territory. Looking forward to working with you all and seeing some great ideas (especially programming). I am contactable online and hopefully meet the NT teachers face-to-face.
Hi everyone. I teach DigiTech 8-10 and ITS 11-12. I am interested in the integration of DigiTech in primary. However, another interest of mine is Coding Across the Curriculum. My dream is for students to use coding as a tool to create and be creative in different subject areas. I started to make a Google Site where I create and collect (in first instance) Scratch projects for Art, Maths, English etc. as well as showing some interesting resources to use. Some Scratch project could be interesting for primary teachers. The site develops slowly as I do it in my spare …
Hi All. I'm one of the two Project Officers in South Australia. South Ozzies can call on me to help out with their Digital Tech world. Contact me on line or if you'd like me to pop out to your school or site i can do that too, this may be especially handy when working with the tech lending library. I'm looking forward to getting into this new MOOC with you. Thx B.
Hi everyone. I'm Timna and I work for Flinders University where we teach future teachers how to teach with technologies. Looking forward to extending my understanding of digital technologies, especially programming as it is still relative new to me.
I'm still completing the Foundations MOOC – anyone else?
